THANE- AN EMERGING SMART CITY


Thane city is an emerging city and have been selected as a part of smart city mission in the 3rd round of smart cities announced by the government in September 2016. For the development of same govt. has approved 200 Cr. for improving their infrastructure.

Recently, Thane has grown so rapidly that that it has become the most favorable destination for home buyers and developers. Availability of large land parcels, amazing connectivity and picturesque lakes and landscapes is the main attraction.Thane has witnessed a vertical growth in most of its area viz: Kolshet Road, Pokhran Road, Majiwada Junction etc. and is constantly evolving not only with the infrastructures but much more.

The basic requirement for smart city is that it should provide good infrastructures like water, healthcare, sanitation, clear and easy procedures that will help to run comfortably on commercial processes, attractive investments, easy online services for gaining approvals, and several public security facilities that will help the residents feel happy and secured.
For sustainability, a smart city should offer ample of employment and economic opportunities to high range of its locals without giving much importance to their educational status, incomes and skills and therefore, attracting wide range of real estate investors to buy a property in that city.
